The Ultimate Guide To Cheap Single Pushchair

Cheap Single Pushchairs

The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a great option if you're on a tight budget and don't need an extra stroller that can be used as a car seat carrier. It has a simple one-step foot brake that's flip-flop friendly.

It's also a breeze to push and feels sturdy when you're navigating kerbs and woodland pathways. Plus, it's a dream to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned its reputation as the most lightweight stroller, both for urban dwellers as well jet-setters. This is due to its extremely nimble handling and fold that fits into an aeroplane's overhead luggage. The latest version has independent suspension on all 4 wheels constructed of Hytrel elastomer, which allows it to  perfectly traverse all terrains and types'.

The frame's base YOYO2 frame, curved fabric bassinet and 6+ month color pack create a stylish pushchair that's easy on the eyes, with a subtle but elegant aesthetic and tasteful branding. The frame itself weighs less than a kilo and is so light you can easily lift it out of the box (and do it with one hand).

The hood, for instance snaps onto the YOYO2 in a reassuring manner. It is machine washable at 30 degrees which helps avoid stains caused by smushed rice cakes and carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram starting from birth with the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted into stroller at 6 months using the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a fantastic choice for parents who are looking for a stroller that can be used in a variety of ways. It can be converted from a stroller to a wagon by simply flipping the handle, so parents can select the option they want to use on their journey. The wagon can accommodate two or more children between 6 months to five years old. It comes with a large storage basket that can hold all your necessities when you are on the move.

The Xplore has dual canopies which can rotate from front to back, offering adequate sun protection for all family members. It has a smaller footwell than some wagons. This isn't ideal for long drives or naps.

The frame of the Xplore wagon is solid and sturdy, however, it isn't able to bend as much as other wagons that we test. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the other models and does not close tightly when folded. It is easy to move, though, and it can fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents seeking a second stroller that's affordable. It scored high in our Strollers & Multiples Test for weight and fold dimensions, meaning it is lightweight and compact when folded and easy to lift and store in a trunk for your car. It also has an adjustable reclining seat that can be positioned in several positions as well as an adult cup holder. Other features of note include 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels and two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling.

In our push and turn test, it did better than the majority of other cheap strollers we tested, but it's still not the most comfortable to maneuver on uneven terrain or through doorways that are narrow. Its sunshades are among the smallest we tested, offering only direct overhead coverage, and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have larger canopies.

The Delta took us just under 3 minutes to put together with an average manual and all of the components required tools. However, it's missing certain essential features that we think you should not compromise on in a double stroller, for example, a larger basket and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi’s newest pushchair that is advertised as an urban travel system. It is designed to accommodate infants from birth until around 3.5 years old, and can be converted between a carrycot and seat by just only a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It comes with a light Mico 30 infant seat, a stay-in car-base and a reversible car seat.

The seat reclines with one hand, and the large shopping basket makes it simple for parents to get their child in and out. Although it is narrow, the pushchair handled the everyday bumps well and slid through doors without fuss.

The front wheels can to be locked in a forward position, or they can swivel. This is helpful for navigating through rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to rotate during our walk on an uneven path. It handled this reasonably well, even though it felt slightly more bumpy.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is known for their 3-wheeler, all-terrain Jogging pushchairs, however they also offer a great range of 4-wheeler strollers. City Tour 2 is their most loved model. It is simple to fold and can fit into the trunk of a car even with a carrycot attached.

It's heavier than other strollers we've tried, but because it has rubber composite wheels it feels solid and well-made. It is easy to maneuver across various terrains and even with two children, a shopping bag and other items.

The seat and carrycot both have hoods that can be pulled down to reveal sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are showerproof and sturdy unlike other prams' hoods that get whipped back into toddlers' faces.

It's not the biggest of storage space, however it does come with a huge basket that's big enough to hold an infant's changing bag and plenty of food items. It can also be used with a Baby Jogger car seat that is suitable for babies up 20 lbs (car seat and adapters are available separately). If you need a stroller that can be used on the road, the City Tour 2 is an excellent choice.

When the Nuna Mixx first came onto the scene, it stole the hearts of parents all over the world. It's a stroller made of aluminum that will see you through your baby's early days and beyond. It's got a few notable features, including the ability to flip the seat from parent to world-facing, a huge UPF 50+ canopy, an eye shade that flips out, a spacious basket and adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are tough and filled with foam which minimizes punctures. The chassis also has built-in suspension that eases the pain of bumpy terrain. It was simple to push and our test driver was able to maneuver the vehicle through tight streets.

It folds in four simple steps and locks automatically without fuss. It can also be folded and repositioned for easy transport down the stairs or in the car's boot. The travel system is also included with the option to add an additional car seat or carrycot by using the adaptors that are included. The seat can be reclined into many positions and comes with a built-in double breathable mattress that is suitable for babies from birth.

The canopy/seat features two large fixed or flip-out sun visors. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn't the best because it's not as quiet as Velcro and could awaken napping babies.

The Duet is a stroller that can be used side-by-side and can be adapted to take twins or siblings (up to 22kg max per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and works with some carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can be facing one another or be turned around to face parents, theoretically decreasing sibling rivalries over who sits with mom and dad.
